Emily

Senior Forensic Psychologist

Emily is a Senior Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience providing psychological therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. She works with individuals affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, personality difficulties, relationship difficulties and the long-term impact of adverse life experiences.

Emily is trained in several evidence-based therapeutic approaches including EMDR, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for trauma. She integrates these approaches flexibly to suit each individual, recognising that therapy is most effective when it is tailored to a person’s unique experiences and needs.

Her particular interest lies in understanding how earlier life experiences can shape the patterns that influence how we think, feel and relate to others. Therapy offers an opportunity to make sense of these patterns, process difficult experiences and develop new ways of responding to ourselves and the world around us.

Emily provides a thoughtful, compassionate and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore difficult experiences, deepen their understanding of themselves, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
