Laura

Senior Forensic Psychologist

Laura is a Senior Forensic Psychologist with over 18 years of experience supporting people through complex emotional and psychological difficulties. For 15 years she worked within secure settings, helping individuals understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, often in the context of trauma, life adversity, and challenging circumstances.

Laura also has experience working with children and young people in residential care, supporting those who have experienced early trauma, attachment difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges. She has developed specialist skills supporting young people at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation.

These experiences have shaped her belief that everyone has the capacity for change and development when they are met with understanding, compassion, and the right support. Laura draws on a range of evidence-based approaches and tailors therapy to each person’s individual needs. The models she works with include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

She aims to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where we can explore difficulties together, build practical coping strategies, and develop greater self-understanding. Her goal is to help people move towards a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with their values.
