Rachel
Forensic Psychologist
Rachel is an experienced Chartered and HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist, qualified since 2017, with a career in therapeutic settings spanning over 15 years. She has worked within secure environments, supporting individuals with a range of complex needs, including those with histories of sexual, violent, and general offending, as well as individuals with learning difficulties.
Rachel is trained in a range of evidence-based risk assessment tools and has produced expert reports for Parole Hearings, where she has also provided professional testimony. She has significant experience in psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention. She brings over 12 years of experience delivering, supervising, and managing intensive therapeutic programmes designed to support meaningful behavioural change. Rachel has also held a senior role within a Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE) in the Offender Personality Disorder pathway, supporting individuals with complex emotional, relational, and personality-related difficulties.
More recently, Rachel has expanded her practice into mental health services, where she has spent the past three years providing psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention to individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties. These include anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, and challenges linked to personality and relationships.
Rachel has a particular passion for working with trauma and complex emotional needs. She is committed to supporting individuals who may have experienced adversity, helping them to make sense of their experiences and understand how these may continue to affect their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. She offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace.
Rachel’s approach is grounded in understanding the person as a whole and she works with people from all walks of life, including those who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. She is also able to offer specialist support to individuals with offending histories or those navigating complex life circumstances.
